Welcome to Rose(Ró’s) blog!

Why are you starting a blog?

The main motivation behind starting this is is I am looking for a place to write more in my life for a few reasons.

First and foremost I am looking for a creative outlet as it’s something I feel I have been lacking for the last while. Writing has always appealed to me the most as a creative outlet worth pursuing as it has low barriers to entry – literally a pen and paper or a phone. Yet, it brings significant rewards.

I get immense satisfaction from turning a blank page into something. I enjoy the challenge of crafting coherent, compelling narratives. I also enjoy how writing focusses the mind, bringing clarity of thought that we can carry into the rest of our life. “Writing is thinking. To write Well is to think Clearly. Secondly, with the rise of AI I believe writing is going to be a skill that humans lose rapidly. I do not want to be one of those humans! Please note I am not a holier than-thou on AI writing. At work, I fully surrender to our new AI overlords and use LLM daily to compose and edit. This reliance on AI in for writing at work is another motivation to create this outlet. It is a place for me to maintain and build my own writing muscle.

Finally, the Company I recently joined has a culture where writing memos and docs is preferred to slide presentations. Ramping into this culture, I’ve found that writing about business problems is a far more effective way of describing them. Writing here will give me some bonus reps on topics that are a little more interesting than sales rep performance.

What will you write about?

This space will be my journal for sharing anything that I feel will give value to you, the reader, or is simply cathartic for me to write about.

I am a polymath (at least in interests if not expertise!) so there will be a wide-ranging list of topics that this blog will hit on – from pop culture, psychology, book reviews, tech, sports, to the financial markets and finding balance at and outside of work.

As we are at the start of the year my first few posts will be on Goal Setting, which is a topic I am very passionate about.

How often will you publish?

You can look forward to at least one post per month in 2026.
